How would you describe your style? My style is Scandinavian minimalism, sometimes combined with a naive and almost childish look. I´m exploring, and lately I´ve been bringing punk into my work. Love it. Want to do more ”shut up!” pieces.

Do you remember the first thing you made? I made a wooden bowl a few years ago. I was involved in creating a new concept for a hotel, and wanted to show them some ideas I had, about their restaurant and lounge areas. Never showed them the bowl though…. But I still have it in my workshop.

Before I started making I… Worked as a photographer and creative. I still do, but more with my own projects and exhibitions. My wood work opened up a new way of thinking for me. Today I spend more time making and creating for myself.

If I weren’t a maker I’d be... Less happy and balanced, more of a douche.

Favorite quote or words to live by: ”It always seems impossible, until it’s done,” Nelson Mandela.

If I could run away I’d go… Somewhere, where my knifes are always sharp. Hate dull knifes, almost as much as sharpening.

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive who would it be? I give you two, one alive, and one not so alive. Mikael Stipe and Joey Ramone…. Oh! one more, Alexander McQueen.

What would be on your maker’s soundtrack? Youth Lagoon ”The Year of Hibernation” on repeat, over and over.

If you could learn a new skill what would it be? Making balloon animals, horse whisperer, bookbinding or basketry.

What’s your favorite movie? Dodeskaden

Last book you read? Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

Favorite artist? Michael Borremans

Favorite flower or tree? Ash!

What is the most challenging project you have worked on? Why? I’m working on a project piece at the moment, made of bended tall ash spoons. It’s challenging in different ways. It takes time and it’s tricky to figure out the movement and flexibility in the material. It’s also challenging because it’s a new method of working with the wood, for me.

What do you see outside your bedroom window? In Stockholm, water. In Skåne (holiday home), a great chestnut tree.

What do you hear right now? Waves.

What was the last gift you gave someone? A lemon tree.

Best piece of advice you have ever received? ”Just do it”

Favorite time of day? The moment just before I open my eyes in the early morning.

What song best describes your work ethic? "Innocent" by Flesh Quartet

What are you most thankful for? So many things. One of them is to be able to do what I love most, every day. Another one is early mornings, to wake up next to Hanna.
