Do you remember the first thing you made? Screen printed upholstery fabrics.

Before I started making I… I was a fashion designer

If I weren’t a maker I’d be... A chef, inspired by market cuisine and local produce.

Favorite quote or words to live by: It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

If I could run away I’d go… To an island, like Korčula in Croatia or Folegandros in Greece, on a small boat.

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive who would it be? Georges Braque, a French artist and a master of colour.

What would be on your maker’s soundtrack? Yann Tiersen and the Good Bye Lenin! movie soundtrack

If you could learn a new skill what would it be? I would love to compose film music.

Last book you read? Le Testament Français by Andreï Makine

What would your last meal be? Oysters

Favorite scent? Violets

Favorite flower or tree? Linden tree

Favorite artist? Alberto Giacometti

What is the most challenging project you have worked on? Why? Coquo, because we designed a collection in record time while achieving our objectives related to ergonomics, originality, ease of installation and the environment using only local noble materials.

What was the last gift you gave someone? I gave pots of homemade jam to a friend (ground cherry, papaya and wild blueberries).

Best piece of advice you have ever received? Surround yourself with good people and focus on your goals despite the obstacles.

Where did you grow up? In the Anjou borough in Montreal.

Favorite time of day? 7 p.m., because it’s cocktail hour on my terrace and the best time to enjoy the sun.

Favorite holiday? Summer

What is your favorite family tradition? Every evening, my husband, my two daughters and I eat dinner together and reflect on our days.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I would love to be able to protect my family with my superhuman strength!

Most interesting thing in your liquor cabinet? Agricultural rum from Martinique.

Favorite thing to cook? I love creating meals using what’s left in the fridge.
