How would you describe your style? Being able to offer what’s needed in a beautiful and sustainable option is most certainly my style.

Do you remember the first thing you made? My mom taught me how to sew when I was young, and my first completed project was a block color locker organizer. Wish I still had that.

Before I started making I… I was an outdoor education teacher, taking 1st through 8th graders canoeing, snow shoeing, backpacking, and so on. I loved it.

If I weren’t a maker I’d be... That’s a tough question, ask me again in a few years ; )

Favorite quote or words to live by: There is no try, just do!

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive who would it be? Chuck Close, he is the first artist I appreciated as a teenager and opened my eyes to an entirely different way of appreciate the world of art.

What would be on your maker’s soundtrack? I just love the Australian group The John Butler Trio, and his wife’s group Mama Kin - mix them together and that’s my sound track.

If you could learn a new skill what would it be? I would absolutely love to learn how to do carpentry, what a phenomenal skill!

Last book you read? The Last Girl by Nadia Murad

What would your last meal be? Hmmm. Either Sushi or Indian…

Favorite scent? Lemon Grass

Favorite flower or tree? The crocus -first sign of spring.

What do you see outside your bedroom window? The tops of trees from the woods behind our house, I love it.

What do you hear right now? My daughter’s bedtime music.

Favorite podcast? I have three, ha! Embedded, How I Built This, and This American Life.

Any hidden talents? I can raise one eyebrow ; )

Favorite time of day? Surprisingly, the morning - that’s when things are really humming along.

Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving

What is your favorite thing to cook? Dumplings - yum!!

What are you currently watching? Schitt’s Creek, yes!
